Start Strong.

Small steps, big impacts
Choosing the right kindergarten, and the right timing, is one of the biggest decisions you'll make for your child. At Cross, we believe every child deserves to begin confident, not anxious. That's why we offer two paths: Kindergarten for children who are ready, and Kinder-Bridge for children who would thrive with the gift of one more year.
Cross Kindergarten: Small Class, Big Start
A class of ~18, not 28–30.
Your child's teacher will know their name, their learning style, and their personality within the first week, not the first semester.
Personalized learning from day one.
Cross treats testing as a tool to guide instruction, not a pass/fail judgment. Different children excel at different things, and we meet each one where they are.
The start of friendships that last.
Many Cross students stay together from kindergarten through 8th grade. The friendships that begin here become the deepest ones your child will ever have.
Faith every day.
Chapel, Bible stories, prayer, all woven naturally into the rhythm of the school day. Not a separate subject. Not forced. Just present.
“Welcome! This is your neighbor.
Her cubby is right next to yours.
And the rest is history.”
-Cross K–8 Alumna, on her first day of kindergarten
The two are still close friends today. A friendship that started the moment they were introduced at their cubbies.
Kinder-Bridge: The Gift of Time
Does your child have a summer birthday? Many families feel pressured to start kindergarten right away, or keep their child home another year with no structured program. Neither is ideal.
Kinder-Bridge is the third option. A strategic bridge year with its own curriculum, designed for children who are academically capable but would benefit from one more year of social, emotional, or developmental growth. This is not repeated Pre-K. It's not remediation.
It's a year designed to build confidence, not mark time.

Kinder-Bridge may be a good fit if:
Not sure? That's exactly why we offer readiness conversations.
Let's figure it out together.
- Your child has a summer birthday (May–September)
- Your child is academically capable but socially or emotionally still developing
- You've been told to "wait and see" but want a structured plan
- You want your child to enter kindergarten confident, not anxious

A Story from Our Own Admissions Director
Our admissions director, Courtney, didn't just help create Kinder-Bridge. She lived it. Her daughter Madison had a July birthday and was born early. Madison's teacher told Courtney in October: "I think Madison would benefit from the gift of time. Academically she's doing well. Socially she's struggling.”
The first weeks were hard. Madison would get in the car and cry:
"I've done my one day. Can I go on to first grade with my friends?”
Then, the Friday of the third week:
"I had a great day, mommy. I met so-and-so."
From that day on, everything changed. Madison became a leader.
She knew the ropes, helped the teachers, helped her classmates.
"She was a real leader. She kind of knew the ropes.
She could help out the teachers. She could help out friends.”
-Courtney Mann, on Madison's kindergarten year after Kinder-Bridge
Courtney isn't just telling you about Kinder-Bridge. She lived it with her own daughter.
