January 2, 2022 Bible Class: The Red Letter Challenge

Today in the Fellowship Center, we begin THE RED LETTER CHALLENGE in our Bible Class! In the Band/Music room (the room near the large kitchen in the Fellowship Center) Rick Miller leads a class surveying the Old Testament books. James Smith leads a class in the Parlor and the topic is “A Simple Way to Pray.” The learning time begins at 10:00 a.m., and all adults are encouraged to attend Bible Class! Grab a cup of coffee, breakfast taco, and/or donut (served out of the Large Kitchen in the Fellowship Center building,) and join us! The Fellowship Center Class will continue to be broadcast online (Facebook & YouTube) each Sunday. Plan to be part of this time in God’s Word each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. IN ADDITION—our youth thank you for supporting their ministry through the weekly purchase of tacos, etc.! This is the MAJOR source of fundraising for District and National Youth Gatherings, as well as their Servant Event trips!

Pastor Fraker has served at Cross since August of 1998. His wife, Sharon, teaches Kindergarten at Cross Lutheran School. Pastor & Sharon have three married children and ten grandchildren. Daughter, Rachel, and Pastor Mike Boothby, are the parents of Elias, Maggie, Linnea and Zoey. Mike serves St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Ireton, Iowa. Son, (Pastor) Tim, and his wife, Darci, are the parents of Caleb, Krista and Cara, and they serve Trinity Lutheran Church in Weatherford, Texas. Son, Jon, and his wife, Emily, are the parents of Judah, Elsie and Isaac, and live in Houston, Texas, where Jon is serves as Principal of Epiphany Lutheran School. Pastor Fraker graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1983, and served congregations in Denison, Iowa, and Union, Missouri, prior to moving to New Braunfels.
