I am Michelle Rivera, the Director of Curriculum and Student Support Services. I am married to Matthew, and we are the proud parents of three wonderful girls. Our youngest daughters attend Cross Lutheran Church and School. We enjoy outdoor activities, travel, reading, family game night and watching sports. We are active members at St. Paul Lutheran Church here in New Braunfels and love both of our Lutheran church families!

I have worked in education for over 20 years in the classroom and administration in early childhood and school settings. I have also taught classes at the community college level. I consider myself a lifelong learner and will always be a student at heart!  I have an AAS in Child Development, BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, Master of Education in Teacher Leadership and am currently pursuing my PhD in Education, Leadership and Organization at Texas Woman’s University. My research interests focus on the effectiveness of teachers in their initial years of teaching and the educational outcomes of all students in classrooms that integrate children of all abilities. My passion is supporting students and teachers to be wildly successful in their educational journeys.
